About Us

The Michigan Handball Association (MHA) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is "to promote growth of the sport of handball in the state of Michigan." This includes helping one another play, master, and most importantly enjoy the game of handball while encouraging more men, women, and especially children to play as well as showcasing the sport and promoting events such as leagues and tournaments. Participation is the best way to contribute, so don't miss out.

What the MHA is Not
To avoid confusion about what the MHA is, it is helpful to clarify what the MHA is not. The MHA is not the governing body of our game. The governing body is the United States Handball Association (USHA). The MHA does not make the rules, nor does it sanction a particular ball or set of national-level tournaments. Basically, the MHA limits its activities to local interest while trying to follow the lead of the USHA.
